Last year, Twitch’s audience watched nearly 1.35 trillion minutes of video content, far more than on any other streaming platform. However, the number of active streamers on Twitch has continued falling.<\/p>\n

According to data presented by Casinos En Ligne<\/a>, the total number of Twitch streamers plunged by more than 1.5 million in 2022.<\/p>\n

A Massive 2.86 million Drop Since 2021 Peak<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As the world’s largest community for gamers, Twitch has been leading the audience in live broadcasts for years. During 2018 and 2019, the streaming platform had between three and four million streamers, according to Statista and Twitch Tracker data.<\/p>\n

But the explosive growth of the entire gaming industry in 2020 created a massive space for new streamers, with their total number more than doubling by the end of that year. In January 2021, Twitch hit an all-time high with close to 9.9 million streamers, still, it was downhill from there.<\/p>\n
