Three years ago, when lockdown rules and COVID-19 restrictions made live broadcasts even more attractive, the number of people watching live game streaming jumped by 15% YoY and hit 680 million worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>The impressive growth continued in 2021, which saw 820 million viewers, showing a massive 20% increase year-over-year. Japan follows with 37.8 million live game streaming viewers in 2023 and a huge 22% annual increase. In 2020, global live game streaming revenues jumped by 16% to 6.7bn. Still, that was nothing compared to the growth seen in the past two years.<\/p>\n<p>Statistics show 2021 and 2022 saw an impressive 20% year-over-year growth, with global live game streaming revenues rising to $9.7bn.
